Effect of Selected Corrective Exercises on Glenohumeral Rotation range of Motion in Overhead Athletes with Scapular Dyskinesis

نویسندگان

چکیده

In overhead exercises, performing the repetitive and high-intensity throwing movements causes to reduce internal rotation range of motion (IR ROM) in dominant shoulder by applying small continuous pressures on glenohumeral joint capsule. This factor can cause scapular dyskinesis (SD) predispose injuries. The purpose this study was investigate effect eight weeks selected corrective exercises SD athletes. present is a cross-sectional that conducted 54 volleyball players with SD. Goniometer Lateral slide test (LSST) were used measure ROM SD, respectively. experimental group participated exercises. Data analyzed using an independent t-test. group, IR after exercise showed significant increase (P= 0.001) decrease 0.001), respectively; while control changes not significant. Therefore, lead correct athletes, it recommended consider as part their routine exercises.

The Effect of Corrective Exercises on Pain, Function, Proprioception, and Muscle Activity in People with Glenohumeral Internal Rotation Deficit (GIRD)

Background and Objectives: Glenohumeral internal rotation deficit (GIRD) is one of the most important risk factors for overhead-throwing athletes and adversely affects the biomechanics of the Glenohumeral joint during overhead-throwing motions. The aim of this study was to review all the articles performed in the field on the effect of corrective exercises on pain, function, proprioception, and...

The effect of 8-week online scapular-focused training on scapular kinematics, proprioception, and selected muscles strength in female volleyball players with Glenohumeral Internal Rotation Deficit

Introduction and aim: One of the most significant risk factors for throwing athletes is an internal rotation deficit of the shoulder joint. This study investigated 8-week online scapular-focused training on the scapular kinematics, proprioception, and strength of particular shoulder muscles in female volleyball players with Glenohumeral Internal Rotation Deficit. Methodology: The present study...

The Effect of Glenohumeral Rotation on Scapular Upward Rotation in Different Positions of Scapular-Plane Elevation

Context: Glenohumeral and scapular upward rotation are important factors in functional upper extremity motion. Objectives: To determine how different amounts of glenohumeral rotation (internal, external, and neutral) affect scapular upward rotation. Design: Controlled laboratory study. Independent variables were the amounts of internal, external, and neutral glenohumeral rotation. The dependent...

Effect of Scapular Stabilisation Exercises for Type 2 Scapular Dyskinesis in Subjects with Shoulder Impingement

Background: Abnormal altered scapular position during rest or motion have been termed as Scapular Dyskinesia. Scapula Dyskinesia Type-2 is one type of dyskinesia in which there is a visual prominence of entire medial border of scapula that occurs due to weakness of the serratus anterior and tightness of posterior shoulder joint capsule that results in reduction in glenohumeral flexion and abduc...
